    A FUND-stamonial from

    Devon Espejo (Foothill Parent)

“As both a parent (Maggie in Kinder and Emmy in 3rd) and an Art teacher, the FUND is the easiest check for me to write. It is significantly less than just one month of preschool and provides so many valuable programs for the entire year for all our children. These are the subjects that get my kids excited to go to school!

Years ago, Music and the Arts were part of the state budget, but sadly, today that is no longer the case. My elementary school Art teacher left a lasting impression on me that helped me become the Art teacher that I am today. Finding and maintaining qualified specialist teachers can only happen when funding is secure. Without a state budget to do that, it is up to the parents to contribute and show our children that Art, Music, Science, PE and Library matter. The job market of the future will rely heavily on creative and innovative thinkers who are engineer and design minded. These subjects that the FUND provides, helps pave the way for our children’s future.”

Thank you to all of our fabulous Foothill families who already have shown their support the FUND. If you have not given yet, now is the time to donate and show your support for the FUND. Please see the attached flier for details or visit the FUND Parent Square page. Checks made payable to the Foothill PTA can be given to your teacher or the office. Donations can also be made online via Parent Square.
