Val and Bryant for the Jog-a-thon Kick-off assembly on Friday afternoon. Let’s help support the school during this fun event on February 16.
Our generous PTA who donated money so that we could update our emergency supplies by ordering red backpacks for all classrooms filled with materials to be used in case of a school emergency.
Reserved Parking Spaces:
There are two parking spaces that are reserved for auction prizes. One space is for Foothill School and the other is for Goleta Family School. These spaces are marked for the auction winners to use all week for all school functions. This includes evening functions. Please do not park in these spaces as the auction winners paid a lot of money to reserve these spaces to support our schools. If used by other than the auction winners, the office will locate the car owners and ask those in the space to move their cars.
We also have three spaces marked for the office staff. Please do not park in these spaces as well.
Looking for parent help…
We are in need of two or three parent representatives to serve on our School Site Council. Right now, we only have one parent attending the meetings on a regular basis. This council focuses on what teachers are doing on our site related to student achievement and site funding of these school goals. The council consists of teachers, classified staff and parents who provide feedback, as we share what is going on in classrooms. We meet once a month on Monday afternoons from 3:00-4:00 pm. Our next meeting is set for February 27. We will not have a meeting in March but one April 24. Please e-mail me if interested. (Felicia Roggero, email@example.com) Thanks for considering.
